Beetroot and grape seed oil dip

Beetroot contains high concentrations of iron, potassium and folic acid. They say that one of the best foods to restore a healthy red cheek is.

So that you don't have to drink it, we searched for a recipe for dip that is prepared in Egypt.


  • 2 red beets 
  • clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 2 large spoons of grape seed oil


Peel the beetroot and cut it into pieces, peel the garlic. Drizzle the beetroot with grapeseed oil, sprinkle with cumin and coriander, and place in a baking dish. Bake at 180°C for 25-35 minutes until the beetroot softens. After 15 minutes of baking, add garlic.

When the beetroot and garlic are baked, cool them and mash them with a stick blender. Add lemon juice, Greek yogurt, salt, pepper and cinnamon and mix. At the end, add grape seed oil.

Garnish with Greek yogurt and toasted coriander leaves.
