The tzatziki was refreshed by a cucumber salad, which is perfect on hot summer days. We know it from Greece. Different variants of this salad have always been prepared in Prlekija and Prekmurje. The dish is known as cream murka or milk murka, which are warm dishes.
Here is the recipe for cold pickles with yogurt.
- 4 medium-sized pickles
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 dl Greek or plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of grape seed oil
- cucumber flowers
Peel, grate and salt the cucumbers. Chop the garlic and basil.
Wring the cucumbers, add chopped garlic, yogurt, salt and pepper. Mix well. Drizzle with grapeseed oil and garnish with basil and cucumber flowers.
